The Challenge
How to unify a fragmented digital footprint to take on the market leader.
Facing a dominant competitor, KOHLER needed to rapidly elevate brand awareness and establish unmatched credibility in the backup home energy market. However, their existing digital landscape was scattered across multiple microsites, which diluted their domain authority and disrupted the user journey. The mission was clear: consolidate these disparate sites into a single, modernized platform that could seamlessly guide potential buyers down the sales funnel, connect them with local dealers, and serve as a powerful engine for lead generation.





The Approach

DEPT launched the project with a rigorous discovery phase driven by SME questionnaires, comprehensive audits, and competitor analysis. To ensure a seamless user experience, we overhauled the information architecture and validated a redesigned site map through treejack testing. Our content strategy then utilized purposeful mapping to translate page layouts into responsive, high-fidelity UI/UX designs.
